Marbled Banana Bread

Ingredients:

1  3/4 cups flour

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

1 cup mashed bananas

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped

2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup unsweetened chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350.

Grease a 9" x 5" loaf pan generously with butter.

Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.

In a bowl beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 2 minutes.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add flour mixture and mix on low until combined.

Add bananas, sour cream, vanilla and beat until combined.

Put chocolate in a microwave and cook on high power in 20-second intervals, stopping to stir in between, until about 80% melted.

Stir until smooth, add cocoa powder, and stir until dissolved.

Add one cup of batter to the chocolate and stir until combined.

Spoon plain batter and chocolate batter alternately into a loaf pan.

Swirl batters together gently with a knife. (don't overdo it.)

Top bread with the remaining unsweetened chocolate chips.

Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean.

Cool your bread in the loaf pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and set it on a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
