Apple Bunt Cake


For the Cake

2 Cups Apples, Peeled and Chopped

1 Cup Sugar

3 Eggs

1/4 Cup Apple Juice

2/3 Cup Butter, Melted

3 Cups All Purpose Flour

1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda

1 teaspoon Cinnamon, optional

1 teaspoon Nutmeg, optional

1/2 teaspoon Cloves, optional

Caramel Glaze

1/3 Cup Brown Sugar, packed

1/3 Cup Salted Butter

1 Tablespoon Milk

2 Tablespoons Powdered Sugar

For the Cake

Preheat your oven to 325, then butter and flour a bundt pan.

Sift together flour, spices and baking soda, then set aside.

Whisk together butter, juice, eggs and sugar until creamy.

Fold in the dry ingredients and mix well, the batter will be a little stiff.

Fold in the apples. Pour into the pan and bake 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Allow to cool in pan for 15 minutes before turning out onto a cake plate.

Then cool cake completely before drizzing with the calmel glaze.

For the Glaze

Combine brown sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Stir to prevent scorching and ensure that the sugar melts completely.

Remove from heat and whisk in the powdered sugar.

Whisk until smooth, this helps to make it get thicker.

Pour over cake, allowing it to run down the sides a bit. Enjoy!
