Easy Fig Bars

Ingredients:
For the Crust
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup almond flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
For the Filling
7 fresh figs, quartered
1/3 cup brown sugar
For the Crumble Topping
1/3 cup oat meal
1/3 cup almond flour
1/3 cup pecans
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
pinch of sea salt
For the Crust

For the Crumble Topping
1/3 cup oat meal
1/3 cup almond flour
1/3 cup pecans
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
pinch of sea salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
For the Crust
Line an 9" x 9" baking pan with aluminum foil, lightly spray with baking spray then set aside.
Combine the crust ingredients: melted butter, brown sugar and almond flour until a soft dough forms.
Press into the foil lined pan and bake for 6 minutes, crust should be set but not cooked all the way through.
For the Filling
Place the chopped figs and brown sugar in a small sauce pan over medium high heat, stirring and breaking up the figs.
As soon as the mixture begins to simmer reduce the heat to low and stir occasionally.
Remove from heat when the figs are completely broken up and the mixture resembles jam of fruit spread. (about 20 minutes)
Remove from heat and allow to cool a few minutes.
For the Crumble Topping
In a blender combine all of the crumble topping ingredients and pulse until coarsely blended.
To assemble the Bars
Spread the fig mixture over the pre baked crust and top with the crumble topping.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
