Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Sorghum Molasses
3/4 Cup Boiling Water
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/2 Cup Shortening
1/4 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
One 9" single crust pie pastry dough

Directions:
Pre heat your oven to 375.
Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add molasses.
In a separate bowl, combine sugar and flour then stir in shortening to make crumbs.
Pour 1/3 of the liquid into an unbaked crust.
Add 1/3 of the crumb mixture.
Continue alternating layers, ending with crumbs on top.
Bake at 375 for 35 minutes. Enjoy!
